If you’ve ever worked a full-time job and tried to make it out to skate afterwards, you know how insane it is that Fries Taillieu managed to produce a video part of this caliber while juggling the demands of his day-to-day life. Some pros indulge in sending on Saturdays, and some, like Fries, only have Saturdays to make it happen.
Despite undue pressure on what few waking moments he can dedicate to his skate-craft, Fries delivers in a huge way here for Globe. There are precious few skateboarders that can flick a nollie flip casually out of their nose manuals mid-line and still muscle up to handrails in the way that Fries does here. The part is a relaxing dreamscape of stoke that steadily scales upward from artsy ledge tricks until the man in slaughtering Hollywood High.
